Video Searching Help Page
The Searching option enables you to search for
specific videos on the Video Streaming Server. In order to find a video
all criteria on the Searching Main Page
must be machted. You can choose between the following search criteria:
- Name:
This string must be in the file or directory name. Partial strings
will be matched and search is case insensitive. (i.e. "sun" matches
"Sunset.rm", "Moon_and_Sun.mov" etc.)
- Filetype:
Look up only certaing types of files. (directories, normal files or
a specific streaming format).
- Last Change:
Matches only files which were installed or replaced a certain amount
of days ago.
- Filesize:
Define a certain minimum/maximum size the file must have in Kilobytes.
- User:
Just list files belonging to a certain faculty or staff member.
- Department:
Just list files belonging to a certain department.
The sorting criteria for the output will be the name of the file or
directory. (Attention: Capital letters come before any lowercase letter,
i.e. X-Files.rm comes before animals.rm)
